Mathloop
Mathloop is the mathematical puzzle game inspired by British game show Countdown.
Plan your moves ahead and adapt to randomness.
Is Mathloop also a roguelike? Of course it is — it's 2025.
Full Rules (sorry if in-game tutorials weren't clear enough!)
- Your goal: In each loop, reach the target and then return to the start of the loop.
- Loop ends: Only when all your numbers have been used.
- Gameplay and conrols:
- You need to form 3 pairs of action + number. You do that by choosing one of three drawn numbers (white buttons), and one of 6 possible actions (add, subtract, multiply, divide and discard and return to the deck) in any order.
- You can cancel your selection by pressing Esc.
- You can reassign actions as much as you want before pressing Confirm button
- Each turn requires one and only one mathematical operation
- With 3 numbers, perform an operation with one, then either discard or return the other two
- With 2 numbers, use one for the operation, then discard or return the other
- With 1 number, perform a mathematical operation on it directly
- Scoring system:
- +1 coin for each digit (power of 10) in your highest score
- +3 coins for reaching the target
- +5 coins for reaching the bounty, an optional target that you can purchase
- Coins are both lives and currency for upgrades
- Difficulty settings can be changed when restarting the game
- Game has 9 levels to beat.
